By Giving

The Neil Sachse Foundation is dependent upon the generosity of the public to perform its vital works. We currently receive no government funding and so, the community needs to signify their support of the organisation by giving.

Each gift will be recognised appropriately and is much appreciated. There are a number of ways to give.

Give a Bequest
Bequests are an important source of donations for a charity, of which ours is no exception. A bequest is a gift given after one’s death. Giving a bequest is a dignified and valuable way to leave a lasting impression on an organisation.

There are a number of different types of bequests:

  • a residual bequest where you leave what’s left to a charity after making provisions for friends and family;
  • a percentage, whereby you allocate a percentage of your estate to the charity;
  • a specified gift, where you clearly specify the specific amount or item bequeathed to the charity
  • your whole estate, whereby you bequeath all your assets to the charity.

By leaving a bequest in your Will, you will continue the search for a cure for spinal cord injury and it will not affect your current income or assets.

In order to leave a bequest, please visit your solicitor or advisor to ensure that you discuss the optimal way for you to make a donation of this kind. It is also important to ensure that the organisation’s name is spelt correctly – our correct name is “NEIL SACHSE FOUNDATION INC”.

It also needs to be noted that the organisation has changed its name a number of times for various reasons since its inception, and so, any bequests with the following names also refers to this organisation:

  • Australasian Spinal Research Trust
  • ASRT Inc
  • Spinal Research Fund of Australia Inc
  • Spinal Treatment Australia Inc
  • Neil Sachse Foundation Inc

Give an In-Memoriam gift
An In-Memoriam gift occurs when a loved one passes away and the family and friends give a donation to the nominated charity in lieu of buying flowers or other similar items. It is a tribute to the departed.

By creating an In-Memoriam gift to the Neil Sachse Foundation, you will assist in the search for a cure for spinal cord injury while simultaneously honouring your departed. Making a donation at the time of their funeral is a thoughtful and considerate way to express sympathy on behalf of the family. If you would like to make an In-Memoriam gift to the Neil Sachse Foundation, please contact us on 8227 1777.
