Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Week 9th - 15th November

The Neil Sachse Foundation is raising awareness of spinal cord injuries within the community in efforts to raise funds into vital research into new and effective treatments for spinal cord injury.

During Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Week, there is a special coffee break fundraiser to promote the Neil Sachse Foundation, including a special red and green iced Vili's donut (the colours of the Foundation).

Neil's Interview on the 7.30 Report

In a frank interview, Neil talks about the football accident when as the prize recruit for Footscray, changed his life forever. The team is now known as the Western Bulldogs, and Neil took a recent tour of their new facilities, where he is being honoured by the club for his quest to change the way footballers with spinal and neck injuries are handled.

Yvie Eglinton was a successful triathlete until a terrible cycling accident early this year left her confined to a wheelchair.

Inspired by Yvie's enthusiasm for fitness and triathlons her friends are spending August 14-21 Exercising for Yvie.

The week of sponsored swimming, cycling and running will help raise funds for the Neil Sachse Foundation and Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre.

Even Yvie is going to be clocking up the ks on the hand-powered bicycle.
